Open Mic Budapest
A perfect starting point for musicians who want to be heard. Open Mic Budapest organizes events all over the city where anybody can sign up and sing covers as well as original songs or simply play instrumental music. It is a great chance to start or continue your musical journey surrounded by people who are supportive and open. Open Mic Budapest has an event for every day of the week, except for Saturday, in different pubs – check out their website and Facebook page to find out more. More than that, Sunday open mics at Lámpás welcomes poetry readers too. Everybody gets a chance!
Budapest Poetry Collective
Budapest Poetry Collective is a good place for anybody who loves to write or read poetry. In June 2020 the collective began to organize donation-based poetry circles and has been going strong ever since. At the end of every month, they invite everybody to share poetry or listen to poets from all over the world – from the USA to France and Hungary. Budapest Poetry Collective is a community where your poetry will be heard and appreciated, and it’s also a good opportunity to meet new people. You don’t have to write poetry to join – being a poem lover is enough. To support the organization, you can donate money during the events. Hot Paprika Comedy
Comics that live in Budapest and are looking for a place to pursue their shows in English, we got you covered. In the recent years, comedy in English has gained popularity in the city, and some organizations are gladly keeping the trend up. Hot Paprika Comedy organizes open mics and showcases multiple times a week, and the signup is free for anybody interested in joining. Check out their Facebook page and take your chance to shine!
Open Mic Budapest and Stand-Up Budapest also support English-speaking comedians, and offer open mic stand up shows every or every other week.
